The tablets are caused by a type of acid called primary protonophageater (PHTE) in the stomach. These medicines cause an increase in the proton level of an acid in the stomach, which causes you symptoms. Heartburn and acid regurgitation may also cause similar conditions.

You have severe kidney disease, liver cirrhosis or kidney problems. You have a known hypersensitivity (allergy to any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet) to esomeprazole.
